25 blend modes by Giovanni

Image
While experimenting with the blend modes, I noticed major differences between each and every single on of them. Apart from "dissolve" which only distresses the edges of the photo. Subtraction is the color mode that has the most color contrast. Lighter modes are typically made to lighten either the foreground and background. Contrast modes make the distinctions between colors much more rich and evident such as "vivid light and linear light" which are my personal favorite modes along side the "darken" and "Luminosity" blend mode. Dark blend modes make the atmosphere of the photo/subject less saturated meaning that it will become darker, obviously that would mean there is less light or vivid colors. Inversion blend modes make the colors inverted or much more different such as subtract, exclusion, and difference which are the most notable inversion blend modes. Color/Component blend modes are just varied changes with the colors of the image...

Final Ad Print

Image
During this design process I wanted to add more details to my ad to make it seem more professional and not leave it bland. I decided to add images that depict the capabilities or aspects of the charging cable such as the enhanced durability and High Speed charging. I had also decided to add color options of the cable and discount deal in the first order. If there could be something I can fix it would probably bring the contact information upwards and work on spacing of each aspect on the grid. I could also try and use more text or images to fill up the empty spaces. Another detail I forgot mention earlier is that I added my slogan "Feel The Charge " just to add more appeal to the advertisement. I would open to any critiq...

Logo Reflection

Image
1.      When doing the pencil sketches, I already had the two main names of my brand and its industry. I had also known that mistakes were allowed here and that anything sketched can be finalized and polished in adobe illustrator. However, I wanted by design to  be  distinct and look creative. Doing some research of my brand and its competitors I knew that my logo had to seem modern but have some distinctive element. I decided to check out some design books and I picked up the designs for my seventh, eighth, and ninth designs. The rest of the designs were either icons or symbols that could be used alongside with the names "Volta" and "Motiva". I also designed the products or objects that are related to my brand such as the charging cable and the light bulb. The last design (25) which is the image on the left was just an abstract image I imagined, and thought could work but ended up being one of my digital remasters on illustrator. Perhaps I could've tried workin...
