Image File Formats

 Bitmap:

    Jpeg also known as "jpg" stands for Joint Photographic Experts Group which is  image format used for containing lossy and compressed image data. belonging in the bitmap category. These types of files that utilize bitmaps are what consist of pixels. Other files that are included in the bitmap category are "pngs" which Portable Network Graphics is a raster-graphics file format that supports lossless data compression. Camera Raw is contain uncompressed and unprocessed image data which come from the camera sensor, resulting in high quality that allow photographers to edit the image with minimal to no loss of image quality. Gifs stands for Graphic Interchange Format which are graphics that hold frames, which is why gifs show motion like a video unlike pngs or jpegs which don't contain any frames to portray motions. Psd are native file format of adobe photoshop known as photo shop documents, these are documents that are only compatible with adobe photoshop. A TIFF, which stands for Tag Image File Format, is a file format that is  used to store raster graphics which are pixels used to create an image and it used to store image information. High Efficiency image container "heic" which are containers that are used to compress and store images in your device(s).Allowing files to be opened on other programs such as Adobe Photoshop. Photo Shop big which is PSB are file formats that are used for big adobe photoshop files.Bmp is bitmap for short which are files containing uncompressed data which is ideal for storing and displaying high quality images.

    

 Vector:

    AI stands for Adobe illustrator which are files that are native to the Adobe Illustrator program. These file formats are typically used for vector images. Pdf is a portable document format that gives easy access to people and it's a reliable way to present and exchange documents. Encapsulated Postscript known as "Eps" which is a vector file format often required for professional and high-quality image printing in order to produce detailed images for billboard advertising and large posters. Svg which stands for Scalable Vector Graphics are used to display two dimension graphics, charts, and illustration on websites. Adobe illustrator Template which is AIT, it's used for creating multiple adobe illustrator files.Indd are native Adobe indesign documents, a file format only used when strictly working on projects/files on Adobe Indesign.

Layout:

    IDML files stand for Adobe InDesign Markup Language file, this is used as an exchange format in order to open InDesign documents on older Adobe InDesign versions

Gradient Gradient adjustment layer was an interesting tool since you can alter the gradients color but it's proximity as well. Originally it was 90 degrees which the gradient started from the left side and moved towards the right and it was the color black. I decided to make the color lighter and completely reflect the position of the gradient by moving it 180 degrees. The end result was the inverse of the original gradient default which I find to be more appealing when the gradient was starting from the right and reaching towards the left. Brightness Using brightness was a simple and yet effective adjustment layer. It can really improve an image as shown here when I lowered the brightness to make the image seem slightly more dim and but less reflective of the light.
